Reality Check

choosing the right website designer

applesandorangesIt’s the wild wild west out there in the world of website design. Choosing a website designer for your business is no easy task. When considering various web design companies – although budget is often a large consideration – we suggest starting with these three steps:

1. Look at the company’s website design work. Is it high quality? Easy to navigate? Informative?

2. Read the company’s client testimonials. Do they offer any? Can you relate to any specific comments? Are they convincing or at least informative?

3. Ask yourself – Do you want to look like you saved money and went with the cheapest web designer? Or would you prefer to work with an award-winning web design firm that can produce an effective, creative website solution that connects with your customers and incites them to contact you?

It’s not always apples to apples. A page with boxes and text is technically a website, true. But an effective website that connects with your customers is a powerful marketing and sales tool that can convert visitors into customers, and leads into revenue.
