Splendor has once again been honored for its creative excellence – this year at the 42nd Annual Telly Awards. If you’re not familiar with this competition, the Telly’s is an acclaimed industry awards show that crowns the best of the best in video and television.
This year’s Splendor win was in the Branded Content B2B Video category. The video we created and produced was written, crafted and directed by Splendor on behalf of our esteemed client, Onyx Equities – a prestigious commercial real estate investment and properties firm.
Onyx came to us in need of a showcase piece – something that could accurately depict the evolution of the firm and the very large development projects that they focus on. This represented a significant change from Onyx’s earlier days. Our mission was, in essence, to change the market’s perception of Onyx.
Splendor rose to meet the challenge, using a mix of CGI, cutting edge animation and design, motion graphics, contemporary music, and robust editorial to bring to life this entertaining and informative piece.
This video highlighted Onyx Equities’ principles and mission, focusing on a few trophy projects in the portfolio – ones which were unmistakably of a grand scale. As a result, the piece garnered the attention of potential clients, investors, partners and top-notch talent.
Apparently, the piece was powerful enough to also got the attention of the award show judges. We’re humbled, but frankly, we’re not terribly surprised. Bold work, exciting work, world-class creative work, gets recognized more often than not — and by a far more important audience than award show judges.
