Saturday, Feb 13, 2010, Adam from Splendor Design Group, Keith Rizzi and Patrick Kesler from Rizco Design, and about 300+ other knuckleheads took the Valentine Plunge for ALS. Special thanks to Patrick, who is a founding member of the Plunge Event, for inviting us.
The Valentine Plunge is a recently established, yet wildly popular dash into the wintery Atlantic Ocean in Manasquan. The funds raised by the participants go directly to the victims and families of people who are afflicted with ALS, commonly known as Lou Gherig’s Disease.
This brutally devastating disease took Adam’s mother, Laura N. Lovell a little over a year ago in December 2008 at age 66. The ALS cause is close to our hearts at Splendor, and we are excited to work harder in the coming years to raise funds, raise awareness and create excitement for this awesome event.
By the way – the air was 29 degrees and the water was 33. Who’s with me now!?
